Introduction
Everyone tells a story everyday through their existence; I, as do a few others, take it to the next level by sharing these stories in written, visual or auditory form — that does not make me special — it makes me different; everyone is special in their own way.
As a story teller, I am focussed on the story — The story is key; the only thing that matters; without a story that is compelling and engaging, there is nothing but air and hollow words.
I tell, and retell, stories though every aspect of the creative journey; every detail and discipline effects the final product: Writing, Directing, Casting, Editing, Music, Photography, Attitude, and one's Mood — the best way to help tell the story is to have a cohesive, harmonious, and family team, which is not easy to do.
The true joy and reason for doing and being is to move the audience's emotions: joy, happiness, pain, fear, anger, and awe so that they wake up and live — that is a proper story teller's goal is, not the almighty dollar — though a few of those are not bad for one's efforts and talents, just should not be the motivating factor.
humbly yours, Gerald Martin Davenport
